Day 1: Arrival and Wilpena Pound

Start your adventure by orientating yourself the heart of the Flinders Ranges, Wilpena Pound. This natural amphitheatre is one of the most iconic landmarks in the region, and Wilpena Pound Resort offers a range of accommodations from resort-style rooms to glamping tents to campgrounds.

Begin your exploration with a visit to the Wilpena Pound Visitor Centre where you can access information and maps to the area. Start easy with a leisurely walk along the Hills Homestead Walk, which offers insight into the history of the area and provides stunning views of the Pound.

Day 2: Sacred Canyon and Brachina Gorge

Day 3: Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary

Depart early for the drive to Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary, the northern Flinders Ranges sanctuary renowned for its rugged beauty and unique landscapes. Check in at Arkaroola Village before you set off for the day.
