New Year, new start for one lucky supporter

A life changing windfall for our Mater Prize Home No. 262 VIP club member, Louise.

For our latest Mater Prize Home winner Louise and her family, the news of their unexpected $1.9 million home and boat package win was a lot to take in. Stepping foot inside their new home, Louise found herself somewhat lost for words. Her first prize windfall in beautiful Bribie Island understandably overwhelming.

Louise watched as her young son bound excitedly about the home, even diving into the sparkling lap pool fully clothed. This moment helped clinch the family’s decision to make the move to Queensland in the New Year.

“It’s beautiful here. This whole thing is just a lot to take in, but now that we have seen the house, I’m not sure we will want to leave,” said Louise when she received the keys.

Having almost completed four years’ worth of renovations on their existing home in Southern NSW, the timing could not have been more perfect for the family; the win offering them the opportunity to sell up and make a sea change, just in time for the New Year.

Valued at over $1.9 million, their new Bribie Island home even included a Sea Ray 260 Sundancer Sport Cruiser boat—pleasing for her husband and son, who as we discovered, already enjoy getting out on the water for some fishing on the weekends.

“My husband has a much loved boat that he will want to bring up to Bribie. It looks like it will be a great spot for some fishing,” said Louise.

“The house is beautiful.  This is a great start to the New Year, and one we would have never expected.”
