The R-Spec is not your standard Mustang, it’s the first supercharged pony made specifically for us folk Down Under. Herrod Performance puts the R-Spec together at Ford’s Campbellfield’s old assembly line, the home of the Ford Falcon.
It’s a custom built special edition with a limited build of 500, each with numbered badges. This ride is so fresh and barely out of the factory but rumour has it all 500 have already been spoken for.
While there are no official claims yet on how powerful this pony really is, it’s expected to pack a serious punch. Under the hood of the bonnet you’ll find a Ford Performance Roush 2650 supercharger kit, projected to produce 522Kw and 827 Nm of torque.
The R-Spec demands attention and there’s no question it stands out from the standard Mustang GT. It rides 20mm lower, features a unique spoiler, R-Spec badging and local styling side stripes that date back to the FPV Falcon.
